8th Window Completed - Hallelujah!

Astrid's two bedroom windows are done, which completes my quota of the season. Below is the one facing the front of the house.

This one is on the side. I have to say that this last window put up a real fight. When I was almost done, I broke it by trying to kill a fly. The glass went flying on to the roof of the porch. The neighbors probably heard me swear in French and English at the same time. To my surprise, the glass was extremely thin. But the real struggle was in removing the window from the frame, which felt like they were fused together - #$%?&*

Anyway, it was repaired and put back into place.

I can relax and hang out like the birds...

...in my garden and in my studio.

Wishing you all a great summer.
Cheers!

Congratulations, Anyes - the house looks great and now you can cool off. I just noticed the interesting gingerbread running under your soffits. What a nice touch, like a fillet within a frame.

Thank you Mark, yes the house has retained a lot if not all of its original trims, inside and out- so rare in this day and age.

That's great about the 8th window.

I have to admit that I burst out laughing when I read about the fly:)

I would love to hear you swear in French and English at the same time:)

Cheers

Congratulations on making your quota! And you did it all the proper way, keeping the old windows as they were meant to be. Your house looks amazing.
