The End of our St. Marys Story - The Dusty Victorian is FOR SALE - NOW SOLD

Dear Blogging Friends of the Dusty Victorian,
Spring of 2018 will mark our tenth year anniversary living in St Marys.
Opening our home to travellers was a little venture we very much enjoyed; we had the opportunity to host the most delightful people, enabling us to finance the restoration and preservation
of our 129-year-old home.
A new year always brings new opportunities, challenges and adventures.
Sadly, 2018 will mark the beginning of the end of our time in St Marys as Brian and I have decided to put our beloved Victorian villa up for sale. There are always more than one reason for making such a life-changing decision, but being closer to family is the most important one. Living and caring for a lovely antique house, in beautiful St Marys, has been a most rewarding experience. Now it’s time for the seventh owners to be guardians and custodians of this Victorian villa.

We offer heartfelt thanks to all the kindred spirits who have supported us with kind words and left encouraging comments through out the years.
We will look back on these many posts with much fondness.

Oh Anyes, my heart is saddened by your news, and surprised! Saddened because I know you put your heart and soul into that beautiful old home, but at the same time so happy you did all of that work for her so that many more generations will come to enjoy her beauty. Thank you for helping to keep historic homes on the map!
Best wishes to you and Brian on the sale of the house and finding just the right place near your family. That is a happy thing!
Thank you for sharing your projects/restorations and your beautiful home with us over the years! I always loved your floral/greenery dress form creations, they were always so breath taking!! Will miss you!
Take care!

Hi Scott,
Unfortunately not Vancouver, but going more East from here, to Merrickville where Brian's birth-parents live.
So nice to hear from you. Hope the lovely family is well.

Dear Anyes,

It was a great pleasure to have visited your blog and to have seen your amazing creativity (I always especially enjoyed your flair for making delightful Christmas decorations, and I'm thinking in particular of the Countess and her Christmas fashions). It was of course with interest that I watched the steady transformation of the Dusty Victorian, which has been and is a showcase for your vision and talent.

New doors are literally opening, and I wish you and Brian all the best for a successful sale and an easy move. Thanks for all your sharing,
